MTS valves was founded in the mid-1970s and became part of the Victaulic group in 2012.
The company is widely known as the specialist in the manufacturing of plug valves and has a large installed base in many parts of the world.
All valves are manufactured according to ANSI, ASME, ASTM, API, BS among other international standards in a wide variety of cast or forged steel materials such as carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel and other special alloys (duplex, alloy 20, Inconel, hastelloy, monel etc).
MTS’s is commonly known as the market leader for their valves in the desalination industry, specialising in valves of non-corrosive alloys of stainless steel called duplex and super duplex which are very expensive and difficult to cast.
These valves are used for the most important process of desalination which is the sea water reverse osmosis (SWRO).
The plug valve functions as a ON-OFF valve or control valve that ensures zero leakage across the process by using a special closure element which consist of a conical plug and a PTFE sleeve. This element is renewable and does not have to be lubricated.
This design also ensures that there is no cavity in the body making the valve suitable for usage in fluids containing solids in suspension.
